Do I need a visa to visit the Maldives?
A single entry visa stamp is issued on arrival for all nationalities flying into Male for a stay of up to 30 days and is free of charge.
What documentation do I need?
Make sure your passport is not damaged or you may be stopped by immigration. You must also have a ticket for your onward journey. You must provide written confirmation of your reservation at a resort / hotel, or proof of funds to cover the duration of your stay in the Maldives. The full 30 day visa stamp is granted at the discretion of the Immigration department on arrival.
Immigration form – to be completed within 96 of arrival in the Maldives (and again on your return)
This mandatory immigration form must be completed before you depart for the Maldives, within 96 hours of your arrival. You will also need to complete again before departing. Most airlines will request to see the QR at time of check in.
